What's With People on the Road?

This will likely be a continuing segment as I've observed so much on the road.  This will be the first article titled "What's With People on the Road?".  I spend a lot of time commuting.  I respect vehicles, I respect the road, I respect the law.  The rules and laws are there to protect everyone.  Today's article will touch on four way stops.  I will share two scenarios I see ALL the time. 

Scenario 1:  The person who rolls up to the four way stop & it's pretty clear THEY'VE reached the stop first.  Yet, they sit in wait as you pull to a stop sum 10 seconds later.  According to the law, they have right of way.  However, they give you the aggressive wave for you to go first, EVEN though that's not the law.  Look Buster!  You're not doing anyone any favors by forcing people to go out of turn.  In fact, you just confused the other two motorists who've now reached the same 4 way stop.  If you'd followed the rules, there'd be no confusion as to who had the right of way!  You will not get a thank you wave because you're mucking things up. 

​Scenario 2:  The person who rolls up to the stop AFTER you.  By law it's your right of way and you are proceeding.  Suddenly, they give you the aggressive wave like they're doing you a favor and LETTING you go first.  Look Buster!  You aren't fooling anyone.  This here is my right of way!  It always belonged to me.  Put your jazz hand back on the wheel.  You will not get a thank you wave because I have nothing to thank you for. 

​What gives?  Just follow the rules of the road already.
