We’ve all seen it in our newsfeeds. Collage posts of multiple, almost identical photos. People who scrapbook already know this. Social media is…a virtual scrapbook. You pick the BEST out of similar pics. Hint: if the subject is wearing the same outfit, in a similar pose with the same or similar background, just pic ONE to showcase. Multiple same shot collages water down the impact and makes your post uninteresting. I get it. Sometimes you take 10 shots to get 1 perfect picture. It's just you don't need to post all 10 shots. If you’re telling a story with pictures and you want to establish an action timeline, then multiple shots of the same pic make sense. Like a sequence of photos capturing the moments leading up to a funny prank. Or the first time your child rides a bike.
When someone has multiple pics of almost the same photo in a collage you might as well just say “please look at my life. Please comment. Someone? Anyone? Oh, I’m so lonely”. The world is not interested in seeing almost identical pics repeatedly. We’re busy. Ain’t nobody got time for that. And please…can we STOP with the bathroom selfies, folks?
