 Mary, thank you for showing me at a young age I can be independent, kind, successful, funny, and yes, beautiful! Thank you for showing us all what a strong woman in charge of their own life looks like. You made no apologies for standing tall and demanding respect in a time it was unheard of and frowned upon. You define everything I wanted to be when I grew up. Thank you for showing us we can all make it, after all.
